We recommend staying away from excessive heat settings, such as sunbeds, saunas, and hot tubs for at least 12 to 24 hours after your treatment, to reduce the risk of the filler breaking down and spreading to unwanted areas.

You should avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours after your treatment to allow the tiny incision sites to fully close. Otherwise, you’d be applying makeup to an open wound.

Most patients do not find fillers painful. You can expect to feel a small pinch as we make the injections, but the process shouldn’t be any more irritating than a standard flu shot.

You shouldn’t notice any serious side effects following your dermal filler treatment at Mid-Florida Age Management. You may, however, notice some mild, temporary side effects in the days after your session. Some people notice some slight swelling, bruising, and redness in the treatment area, but this usually subsides in a few days.

The results of your filler treatment usually last at least 6 months, but they can last as long as 18 months. Many patients wait to schedule a maintenance treatment until over a year later.

If you want to prolong the effects of your filler treatment, be sure to take care of your skin. Stay out of direct sunlight without sunscreen, and ask your provider about their skincare recommendations.
